...As part of Familyfriendlywork.org
You can help us in our mission to be a resource to parents and employers in creating family-friendly policies in the workplace. Here are a few ideas:
1. Volunteer. We need your voice! You can help with our blog or fundraising. You can offer your expertise in relevant areas. You can donate. Send us an email to let us know how you'd like to help.
2. Spread the word. If you believe that workplaces need to support today's families, tell others any way you can. You can use social media such as Facebook and Twitter. You can read our posts, like us, invite others to join, and share what speaks to you. You can put our widget on your blog and you can blog about us, too. We'll even take plain old word-of-mouth.
3. Stay informed. Sign up for our RSS feed. Read about these issues, both here and elsewhere. When you know about the problems, you're taking the first step to finding solutions.
4. Share your story. Stories of injustice motivate change, and stories of success give us hope. Whether you've been fired unjustly, given extra time with your baby, or negotiated a higher rate of pay, we want to hear about it!
5. Start a chapter. As word about Familyfriendlywork.org gets out, we plan to start chapters across the country. If you're interested in helping, please let us know.
6. Take action! You can make a difference by trying out some of the ideas on this site.
